One of my family's favorites!!! I developed this recipe by experimenting with my favorite hamburgers in mind. The spicy sauce on top is excellent with the meatloaf.

Ingredients For summer's meatloaf

  • 2 lb
    hamburger 80%
  • 1/2 c
    shredded chedder cheese
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • dash
    salt and pepper
  • 1/2 pkg
    bacon, cooked and chopped into pieces
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 4 Tbsp
    franks red hot sauce
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs

How To Make summer's meatloaf

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 400. Mix everything but ketchup and hot sauce together. Don't mix to much just until combined. It's best to break up the hamburger before adding rest of ingredients this helps. Form into loaf into 9 X 13 casserole pan.

    In separate bowl, combine ketchup and hot sauce. Spread on top of meatloaf.

    Bake in oven until no longer pink inside. Usually about 50 minutes. If you make the loaf really thick, it takes longer to bake.

    best when served with mashed potatoes. Enjoy. This also makes wonderful meatloaf sandwiches the next day.
