Have been making this recipe for several years. Everyone raves over it, so hope you will like it as well. This basically is a meat loaf but stuffed into peppers. Very easy and quick.

Ingredients For stuffed peppers

  • 4
    bell peppers (any color or mix)
  • 1 lb
    extra lean ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp
    basil, dried
  • 1/2 c
    parsley flakes
  • 3/4 c
    oatmeal (quick) or cracker crumbs crushed
  • 1 sm
    can tomato sauce
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • SMALL CAN OF TOMATOES CAN BE USED ALSO. DON'T WANT MEAT MIXURE TOO SOGGY

How To Make stuffed peppers

  • 1
    cut tops off peppers. What pepper flesh is cut, can be chopped and added to meat mixture. Clean out seeds and menbrane inside peppers. Place in a back dish

    Mix ground meet with remaining ingredients. Mix well. Stuff meat into each pepper. Bake at 350 degrees till meat is done.

    Note: you can add rice if so desired. This can be leftover rice about 1 cup into meat mixture or 1/2 cup instant rice.
