Ingredients For stuffed cabbage ukrainian style

  • 1 1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 c
    cooked rice
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 lg
    cabbage leaves, blanched until wilted
  • 1 c
    tomato sauce
  • 6 oz can
    tomato paste
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 8
    gingersnap cookies, crushed

How To Make stuffed cabbage ukrainian style

  • 1
    Combine meat, rice, salt and pepper. Fill each leaf with about 1/2 cup of the mixture, fold in sides like an envelope, then roll up and place seam-side down in crock pot.

    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cabbage rolls.
