If you like Souperior Meat Loaf you will like these!! I like to put a Mexican cheese on top as we like things hot. My guys eat two a piece, fair warning.

These stuffed peppers are moist, juicy, and delicious! They'd make an elegant presentation for a dinner party, but easy enough for a weeknight dinner. The beefy onion soup mix really elevates the flavor of the stuffing.

Ingredients For stuffed bell peppers superior

  • 1 pkg
    beefy onion soup mix (envelope)
  • 2 lb
    lean ground chuck
  • 3/4 c
    bread crumbs, gluten free
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce (small can, 8 oz)
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 4
    whole bell peppers, green and yellow
  • salt, pepper, Lawry's seaoning
  • shredded cheese, your choice

How To Make stuffed bell peppers superior

  • Beef and stuffing ingredients in a bowl.

    Mix beef and the rest of the ingredients (except peppers and Lawry's) in a large bowl. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Peppers stuffed with beef mixture.

    Slightly blanch bell peppers after slicing in half lengthwise. Fill in mounds with the beef mix. Sprinkle with Lawry's lightly. Place in a 13x9x2 pan.
  • Baking dish covered with foil.

    Bake 30 min covered with foil. Then an additional 30 min uncovered.
  • Stuffed Bell Peppers Superior sprinkled with cheese.

    Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Let sit 10 min before serving.
