This is a yummy one pot meal. It has lots of ingredients and steps, but if you prep everything ahead of time it comes together quickly. I have included the marinating time in the prep time.

1 lbsirloin steak

1/4 csoy sauce

2 Tbspcream sherry

2 Tbsphoisin sauce

2 tspsugar

3/4 tspdark sesame oil

3/4 tspchili paste
-
1/8 tspanise seeds
-
1/2 lbfresh snow pea pods

3 Tbspvegetable oil, divided

4 cbroccoli flowerets
-
3 mdcarrots, scraped and diagonally sliced

1/2 cgreen onions, chopped
-
1 Tbspcornstarch
-
1/2 cwater
-
1/2 ccashews
-
hot cooked rice
How To Make stir fry of beef and vegetables with hoisin

1Trim any excess fat from the steak. Slice the steak diagonally across the grain into 1/4 inch thick strips.

2Combine the soy sauce and the next 6 ingredients in a large bowl; add steak, and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours; drain, reserving the marinade. Set the steak and the marinade aside.

3Wash the snow peas; trim ends, and remove the strings. Set aside.

4Pour 1 tablespoon oil around the top of a preheated wok or large skillet, coating the sides. Heat at medium-high (375) for 2 minutes. Add the broccoli and carrot, and stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the reserved snow peas and green onions, and stir fry 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the vegetables from the wok; set aside, and keep warm.

5Pour 1 tablespoon oil into the wok; add half of the reserved steak, and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Remove steak from the wok; set aside, and keep warm. Pour the remaining 1 tablespoon oil into the wok; add the remaining reserved steak and stir-fry 2 minutes. Return steak, marinade, and vegetables to the wok.

6Combine the cornstarch and water; stir well. Add to the steak mixture, and stir-fry for 3 minutes or until the mixture is thickened. Stir in the cashews. Serve over rice.
