I used to make these all the time; I haven't for awhile now. One thing I can tell you is that these are worth making. We all love them. This recipe uses Country Style Spareribs!

Ingredients For steamed barbecued spareribs

3 lbcountry style spare ribs, 3 inch lengths

1 mdonion, chopped fine

2 Tbspwhite vinegar or apple cider

4 Tbsplemon juice

2 Tbspbrown sugar
-
1/8 tspcayenne pepper (or to taste)

1 ccatsup
-
3 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1/2 Tbspground mustard
-
1 cwater
-
1 Tbspcelery salt
-
1 tspsalt

1/2 tsppepper (or to taste)
How To Make steamed barbecued spareribs

1Brown ribs on both sides in a skillet. Place the browned ribs in a large saucepan that has a cover. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over browned ribs. Cook on high heat until ribs start steaming then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until ribs are tender about 1 1/2 hours.

2Keep ribs covered while simmering to keep liquid in.
