I was craving paprikash and just decided to throw this recipe together and was quite surprised that it was so good, considering how simple it is!

Ingredients For steak paprikash

1 1/2 lbround steak or roast, cut into bite sized cubes

2 Tbspbutter

2 Tbspcanola oil

1/4 call purpose flour

1 smonion, finely diced

2 tspgarlic, minced

2 Tbspsweet/mild paprika

3 cwater
-
1 tspsalt or to taste
-
2 Tbspchopped fresh parsley + more for garnish if desired

1 csour cream
-
spaetzle or egg noodles, fully cooked
How To Make steak paprikash

1Heat butter and oil in deep skillet.

2Toss beef cubes in a bowl with 1/4 cup flour and add to pan. Add in onions and cook until meat is completely browned.

3Add in Paprika and garlic, saute for a few seconds until fragrant.

4Pour in water and stir until smooth and flour is incorporated (not lumpy.) Add salt and fresh parsley.

5Bring to a simmer and continue to simmer uncovered for another 40 minutes.

6Ladle out some of the sauce and mix with the 1 cup of sour cream until well combined.

7Remove pan from heat and stir in sour cream until well incorporated into the sauce.

8Ladle over buttered spaetzle or egg noodles.

9Garnish with more chopped parsley if desired.
