spicy sesame korean sauce

This recipe came from a local grocery store. I wondered if it would be too spicy, but it truly wasn't so don't be afraid of the Siracha. We first serviced it with grilled steak, rice and mukimake (shelled edamame) and we decided it was now our all-time favorite sauce.

Ingredients For spicy sesame korean sauce

  • 2 Tbsp
    light soy sauce
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp
    minced fresh ginger
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    siracha sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    sesame seeds

How To Make spicy sesame korean sauce

    Combine all ingredients, cover & refrigerate for about 1 hour.

    Before serving, take sauce out of the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature.

    This is delicious with beef or chicken. I've also used it as a sauce with scrambled eggs.
