Ingredients For spiced beef barbecue (slow cooker)

4 lbs. beef stew meat, cubed

2 cans tomato sauce, 8 oz. each

1 medium onion, chopped

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 tsp. salt
-
1 tsp. minced garlic
-
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, optional
-
3/4 tsp. ground cloves, optional

12 sandwich buns
How To Make spiced beef barbecue (slow cooker)

1Put beef in 5 quart slow cooker. Mix tomato sauce, next 5 ingredients and if desired, cinnamon and cloves; pour over beef.

2Cover and cook on high 1 hour; reduce heat to low and cook 7 to 8 hours. Remove beef from slow cooker. Shred with 2 forks. Return beef to slow cooker and stir into sauce. Serve on buns. Makes 12 servings.
