Another recipe from yet another Aunt. She made the best spaghetti sauce. And why wouldn't she? She was full blood Italian and was a great cook. Her sauce is a little different than most, she made a sweet sauce.

Ingredients For spaghetti sauce - from aunt ann

2 can15 oz tomato sauce

1 can6 oz tomato paste

1 lblean ground beef (turkey or sausage if desired)

1 mdonion, finely diced
-
6-10 mdmushrooms; sliced
-
2 clovegarlic; garlic press
-
1/4 cwhite sugar
-
2 tsporegano
-
1 tspsweet basil
-
1/2 tspground pepper
-
1 tspolive oil
-
2bay leaves
How To Make spaghetti sauce - from aunt ann

1In a skillet brown ground beef and drain. Saute diced onions, garlic, mushrooms in olive oil.

2In a 6-8 Qt sauce pan combine beef, onions, garlic, & mushrooms. Add tomato sauce and paste along with 1 - 15 oz can water and 1 - 6 oz can water.

3Add all remaining items and stirring well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 3 to 4 hours. Check on every 30 minutes or so and stir.
