Ingredients For south western chop suey

  • 2 box
    macaroni and cheese
  • 1/2 bottle
    barbecue sauce
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    onion
  • 2 pinch
    garlic powder
  • 1 c
    asiago cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c
    half and half
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    french fried onions

How To Make south western chop suey

  • 1
    Prepare 2 boxes of mac n cheese, with butter & half & half & both packets of powdered cheese. The half & half with make a richer creamery taste to mac n cheese. Let stand to thicken.

    In a skillet, use nonstick spray, cut small onion & brown add ground beef, garlic powder & 1/2 bottle of favorite barbecue sauce, cook thoroughly.

    Mix mac n cheese with meat add 1/2 cup of asiago cheese, make sure to mix in cheese evenly through out mixture.

    preheat oven to 350 degrees. Take a baking pan, use nonstick spray & spread mixture evenly in pan. Take the extra 1/2 cup of asiago cheese & 1 cup of french fried onions, sprinkle evenly over top. Bake until cheese is fully melted & browned. Take out of oven, let cool for approx 5 minutes & serve. Great meal & enjoy. You can also substitute the asiago cheese for mozzarella cheese or great value fiesta mix shredded cheese.
