1/4 cflour

1/4 tsppepper

2 lbround steak..cut into serving size pieces

2 Tbspvegetable oil

1 mdonion..thinly sliced

2 cwater
-
2 Tbspworcestershire sauce
- GRAVY
-
1/4 cflour
-
1/4 tspsalt

1/8 tsppepper
-
1 1/4 cbeef broth or water(i like broth)
How To Make so tender swiss steak

1In a shallow bowl,combine flour,salt & pepper. Dredge steak a few pieces at a time. Pound with a mallet(or edge of plate). In a Dutch oven,brown steak in oil on all sides. Arrange onion slices between layers of meat. Add water & worcestershire sauce. Cover and bake 325 for 2-21/2 hours or until meat is very tender. Remove to a serving platter & keep warm.

2In a small bowl,combine gravy ingredients until smooth;stir into pan juices. Bring to a boil over medium heat-cook & stir 2 minutes. Serve steak& gravy over noodles or mashed potatoes if desired.
