Ingredients For snow beef (my version of sheppards pie)

  • 2 lb
    ground chuck
  • 8 oz
    sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 c
    instant mashed potatoes prepared
  • 1/2 bag
    saltine cracker crumbs
  • 1
    large onion
  • italian seasoning salt pepper

How To Make snow beef (my version of sheppards pie)

    Dice onion. Add to hamburger. fry until done.Drain hamburger.I rinse hamburger with hot water to remove alot of the fat.this process does not affect flavor.Crush 1/2 sleeve saltines. Add to hamburger.Add italian seasoning,salt and pepper to taste.Make sure that you can taste the italian seasoning.Also you can replace salt with Mrs dash. Six cups of potatoes are equal to 12 servings on the box.

    Place hamburger mixture in 9x11 baking dish.Spread mashed potatoes over hamburger. Spread shredded cheese over potatoes. I usually use more cheese on top.We all love cheese!
