You can use your choice of wood to smoke with, but I use a mixture of hickory and oak.

Ingredients For smoked bbq sandwiches

  • 3 lb
    pork roast with fat on bottom of roast
  • 1 lg
    purple onion -- diced
  • 1 lg
    red bell pepper -- diced
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper flakes
  • 1 bottle
    barbecue sauce -- i use my homemade bbq sauce

How To Make smoked bbq sandwiches

    Place your Roast fat side up in an Aluminum Roasting Pan with about 1in of water in the bottom of pan.

    Place the Pan in Smoker and let it smoke for about 4 to 5 hours.

    After the roast is thoroughly cooked let it cool. When the roast is cooled then it is time to pull it to make your barbecue.

    After you have it all pulled place it in a large skillet with your remaining ingredients.

    Let it simmer for at least 35 minutes on medium heat.
