A mess to look at, but lovely to eat! This is my dish for the Ninja challenge using hot dogs, califlour and prepared cole slaw...

Ingredients For smashed dog tater tower

  • 1
    hot dog
  • 2
    medium califlour floret bunches
  • 2
    small yellow potaotes
  • 3-4 Tbsp
    coleslaw
  • just a pinch of salt and garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 slice
    cheese of your choice (i used pepperjack and crumbled blue cheese)

How To Make smashed dog tater tower

    Boil potatoes in one pot and califlour in another. In the last 5 minutes of califlour boiling, add hot dogs to that pot. Boil all until tender.

    Califlour and dogs will be ready before potatoes. Remove them from the pot and set aside. Slice dogs into disks.

    Take potatoes out whole. Smash them lightly with a slightly heavy object.

    I used a light vase to smash mine.

    Smash califlour the same way.

    Season top sides of potatoes with salt and garlic. Top with cheese and then with califlour. Top one of the patties with hot dog slices.

    Into a warm pan with olive oil, carefully add both patties using spatula and hands. (I also added blue cheese crumbles to one of the patties while on the pan.

    Assemble on a plate a bed of coleslaw. Into it, lay down the pattie with the hot dogs, add more cheese, and top with the other pattie (don't have to flip it).
