One of my husbands favorite meals in roast beef slow cooked in the crock pot. As I was preparing I accidently opened up a can of cheddar cheese condensed soup. I said what the heck, I will go for it. Glad I did, the gravy was amazing.

Ingredients For slow cooker roast beef stew

  • 5 lb
    chuck roast
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can
    cheddar cheese soup
  • 1
    packet of onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 can
    milk
  • 1 lg
    onion
  • 2
    celery stalks
  • 2 c
    baby carrots
  • 2 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 can
    mixed vegetables, drained
  • 1 can
    lima beans, drained
  • 1 can
    whole corn, drained
  • MASHED POTATOES
  • make your favorite homemade or in a hurry instant works just fine

How To Make slow cooker roast beef stew

    Place your roast in a 5qt crockpot. In a bowl combine soups, onion mix & milk; set aside. Place chunks of onions, carrots, celery & garlic on top of the roast. Pour soup mixture on top of roast. Place crockpot on for 6 hrs-10hrs according to your days plans. About a 1/2hr before serving add in the canned veggies.

    In a bowl, place mashed potatoes on the bottom and pour the stew on top of them. Serve with biscuits or fresh bread.
