Succulent strips of sirloin are seasoned with garlic powder, then slow cooked with onion, green pepper, and stewed tomatoes. Great for anytime. This is another of my favorite comfort foods.

Ingredients For slow cooker pepper steak

  • 2 lb
    beef sirloin, cut into 2-inch strips
  • garlic powder, to taste
  • 3 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1
    beef bouillon cube
  • 1/4 c
    hot water
  • 1 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1/2 md
    onion, chopped
  • 2 lg
    green bell peppers, roughly chopped
  • 1 can
    stewed tomatoes with liquid (14.5 oz)
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 tsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 tt tsp
    salt

How To Make slow cooker pepper steak

  • 1
    Sprinkle strips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste. In a large skillet, over medium heat, heat vegetable oil. Brown seasoned beef strips.

    Transfer to a slow cooker.

    Mix bouillon cube with hot water until dissolved.
  • 4
    Whisk in corn starch until dissolved.
  • 5
    Pour into the slow cooker with the meat.

    Add the onions and bell peppers to the slow cooker.

    Stir in stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.

    Cover, and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours or on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

    Cook until the meat and vegetable are tender.
