Got this recipe from my grandmother 50 years ago. I have tweaked it over the years and started cooking in a slow cooker instead of on stove or in oven for hours. You will love this. Enjoy !

1 1/2 lbbeef stew meat

2 Tbspcooking oil

2 mdpotatoes, peeled and cubed-- 2 cups

2 mdcarrots cut into 1/2 " pieces --1 cup

1 mdonion slicd into thin wedges

1/2 ccelery - sliced
-
1 pkgfrozen cut green beans (9 oz)

1 Tbspinstant beef bouillon granules
-
2 tspworcestershire sauce
-
3/4 tspdried thyme, crushed
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
1 cantomatoes (16 oz) cut up

1 1/2 cwater
How To Make slow cooker irish stew

1Cut meat into 1/2-inch cubes.

2In a large skillet, brown meat, half at a time, in hot oil. Drain well.

3Meanwhile, in a 3-1/2-, 4-, 5-, or 6-quart crockery cooker, combine potatoes, carrots, onion, and celery. Add frozen beans, bouillon granules, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir in browned meat, undrained tomatoes, and water

4Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on high-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours. Makes 6 servings.
