My husband goes crazy when I make these sloppy joes! They are also a favorite amongst the neighbors and co-workers as well. So simple and yummy. You won’t be disappointed with this recipe!

Ingredients For sloppy joes

2 1/2 lbground beef

1 lgred bell pepper, diced

1onion, diced

5 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 1/2 cketchup
-
2 Tbsppacked brown sugar
-
3/4 cwater
-
2 tspchili powder, or more as needed

1/2 tspred pepper flakes, or more as needed
-
1 tspdry mustard
-
4-5 dashworcestershire sauce
-
2 Tbsptomato paste
-
siracha sauce to taste optional (i do 1/2 tsp.)

salt and peper to taste
How To Make sloppy joes

1Start by browning the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain off the fat.

2Add onions, red pepper, and garlic. Cook until vegetables begin to get soft

3Add ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, dry mustard, Worcestershire, tomato paste, red pepper flakes, and water; also add the siracha if desired. Stir to combine and simmer for 15min, add salt and pepper to taste. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

4Place mixture between a buttered and toasted bun and enjoy!
