Ingredients For sloppy joe biscuit bake

  • 2 lb
    ground beef,lean
  • 2 md
    red onions,diced
  • 2 pkg
    slopp joe seasoning mix (1.3oz each)
  • 2 can
    tomato paste, italian. ( 6oz cans )
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 c
    beef broth
  • 8 oz
    button mushroom,sliced
  • 1 sm
    bell pepper,green,diced
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil, light
  • 1 pkg
    refrigerated butermilk biscuits, (16-17oz)

How To Make sloppy joe biscuit bake

    in a 12-14" deep Cast iron dutch oven add oil and 2 tbls of butter,add onions,peppers,and mushrooms,cook till almoet done, Remove with a slotted spoon and set to the side. Now add meat cook till no longer pink. add onions,peppers,and muhrooms back to the pot. Heat through.

    Once every thing is heated,add Sloppy Joe mix, tomato past,water,and beef stock, Mix well and heat to boiling for 5-8 min. Remove from high heat. Place biscuts on top of hot mixture. Bake 15-25 min, on med heat,(use 10 coals under pot and 12-15 on top). Remove from heat and injoy.
