Ingredients For sister tooley's chalupas

  • 2 lb
    ground hamburger meat
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce, 15 oz.
  • 1 can
    tomato paste, 6 oz.
  • 1 can
    rotel tomatoes, 15 oz.
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • pkg
    toasted chalupa shells
  • 1 can
    refried beans
  • toppings of choice

How To Make sister tooley's chalupas

    Brown the hamburger meat and drain the fats. Add the onion and garlic and cook on medium to sweat them.

    Add the can goods (except the refried beans) and seasonings, adding a little of water if needed. Simmer on low for about 30 minutes to an hour to combine the flavors.
  • Crunchy, fried corn tortilla shell, slathered with some refried beans, the chalupa beef, salad greens, tomatoes, sour cream and taco sauce!  Meal in itself...

    Serve on toasted chalupa shells, top with refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream and taco sauce. Enjoy...
