This is such an easy dish I can have it on the table in 30 minutes. It's great after a busy day at work or when unexpected guests stop in it is easy to double even triple.

Ingredients For simple and delicious salisbury steaks

1 lbground beef

1/4 tspgarlic powder

1/4 tspkosher salt

1/4 tsppepper
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
cooking spray, or olive oil
-
1 pkg8 oz. presliced fresh white mushrooms

1/2 conion, chopped
-
1 Tbspfinely chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
-
2 Tbspruby port wine, or dry sherry
-
1 jarbeef gravy
-
salt & pepper to taste

How To Make simple and delicious salisbury steaks

1Combine first 5 ingredients; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 (1/2 inch thick) patties.

2Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray (or Olive oil); place over medium heat until hot. Add patties; cook 4 minutes on each side or until done. Remove patties from skillet, and set aside.

3Increase heat to medium high. Add mushrooms, onion, tyme, and salt & pepper to taste; saute 3 minutes. Add Port; saute 1 minute.

4Stir in gravy, thyme and salt and pepper to taste; return patties to skilet. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

5Garnish with thyme sprigs, if desired.
