I adopted this recipe and changed some of the ingredients, amounts and methods. Through trial-and-error, I believe it is now a tasty recipe. i hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients For savory sicilian steak

  • 2 lb
    round steak
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 c
    crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 tsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley, chopped

How To Make savory sicilian steak

    Cut steak into serving pieces and pound thin. Mix flour, onion powder and salt and pepper, to taste. Dredge meat in flour mixture,

    Brown the meat with oil in large skillet. Pour off any excess liquid and add tomatoes, oregano, mustard, garlic and parsley. Cover and simmer about 1 hour.
