Ingredients For sichuan dan dan noodles

  • 6 oz
    ground beef or pork
  • 8 oz
    thin chinese noodles or ramen
  • 1 lg
    scallion
  • 1 bunch
    cilantro, fresh
  • 1 bunch
    leafy greens (spinach, pea shoots...etc)
  • SAUCE
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    chinese dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    chicken bullion powder or salt
  • 1 tsp
    chinese vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    chinese pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    chinese sesame paste
  • 2 Tbsp
    hot oil

How To Make sichuan dan dan noodles

    Start with the sauce.

    In a small amt. of oil, stir fry the meat with garlic. Add soy sauce for color.
  • 4
    While frying the meat, cook noodles in 6 C of water.
  • 5
    When the noodles are nearly done, add greens.
    Drain noodles and greens thoroughly.

    Build dish:
    a. Sauce on bottom
    b. Noodles and greens
    c. Meat mixture
    d. Garnish with chopped cilantro and fried peanuts.
