Ingredients For sheryl's southwest tamale pie

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    soup
  • 1/4 c
    taco seasoning
  • 1 can
    whole kernel corn
  • 1 can
    sliced ripe olives ( 2 1/4 ounces)
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded chedar cheese
  • 1 pkg
    jiffey corn bread mix
  • 1 lg
    egg

How To Make sheryl's southwest tamale pie

    In a large skillet,cook ground beef and onion untill beef is no longer pink,drain.

    Add cream of mushroom soup and water to beef mixture.

    Stir in seasoning,heat to boil. Stir in corn and olives. Spoon into a greased 2 qt. cassorole dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese.

    In a bowl combine corn bread mix , egg, milk. Spoon over cheese layer.

    Bake at 400 degrees F. for 25 min. or untill crust is golden brown. And corn bread is done in middle. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
