Ingredients For shepherd's pie

2 1/2 lbground beef
-
1 lbground lamb
-
4 lbpotatoes, medium

3 clovegarlic
-
3carrots
-
1onion
-
1 canpeas
-
1 cancorn
-
1/2 cketchup
-
12 oztomato sauce
-
1/8 colive oil, extra virgin
-
1/4 cworcestershire sauce
How To Make shepherd's pie
-
1Peel and cube potatoes and boil in a large pot about 20-25 minutes until soft

2Combine Ground beef and Ground Lamb (Use only ground beef if desired)

3Crush and mince garlic

4Shred carrots lengthwise

5Dice onions

6In a large frying pan add olive oil and garlic cook and dissolve about 7-10 minutes

7Add beef mixture and cook thoroughly until browned
-
8add ketchup, tomato sauce and worcestershire sauce
-
9add onions, continue cooking until onions are tender.

10add carrots and mix

11add corn and peas and combine turn heat to low and allow to simmer

12remove potatoes from heat, strain and blend with butter and milk to mashed potato consistency

13Spread a 1-2 inch layer along bottom of pan evenly

14Layer beef mixture on top of potato layer

15Cover beef mixture with second layer of potatoes

16use a spoon to create peaks on potato topping

17bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.

18brush melted butter on top of potatoes and cook until golden brown

19remove from oven and allow to cool about 15 minutes

20Plate and enjoy (add sour cream or ketchup for topping)
