Ingredients For seven-layer casserole

  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 c
    canned whole kernek corn, drained
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 c
    tomato sauce
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 3/4 lb
    ground beef, raw
  • 5 slice
    bacon, raw, cut-up

How To Make seven-layer casserole

  • 1
    Place rice and corn in baking pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix tomato sauce and water. Pour half over rice and corn. Add layers of onion, green pepper and beef. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add rest of tomato mixture, top with raw, cut-up pieces of bacon. Cover tightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer. Makes 4-6 servings.
