Ingredients For savory meat loaf with mushroom gravy

1onion, peeled and chopped

2 Tbspcorn oil, divided

6 slicesandwich bread, cubed

3/4 cmilk

3 lblean ground beef

12 ozitalian chicken sausage, casing removed and crumbled

3/4 cpasteurized egg substitute

3/4 cketchup
-
1 pkg(1.4 oz.) vegetable soup and recipe mix

1 tspherbes de provence
-
10 ozwhite mushrooms, quartered

2 Tbspall-purpose flour
-
1/4 cheavy cream
-
2 cbeef broth
How To Make savory meat loaf with mushroom gravy

1Heat oven to 375. In skillet over medium-high heat, cook onions in 1 Tbs. corn oil 3 minutes.

2In bowl, combine bread and milk. Let sit 3 minutes. Stir in onions and next 6 ingredients. On broiler pan, shape meat mixture into 10" x 7" loaf. Bake 1 hour, or until thermometer inserted in meat reads 160. Transfer meat to platter; reserve drippings.

3In skillet over medium-high heat, cook mushrooms in remaining corn oil 1 minute. Add flour; cook 1 minute. Add heavy cream, beef broth and reserved drippings. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and let simmer 3 minutes. Serve gravy with meat loaf.
