saucy beef stew
I made This stew the other night for my husband he loved it. The next time I make it I will add celery and potatoes.
Ingredients For saucy beef stew

2 lbstew beef, cubed

1.5 cmushrooms, sliced

2onions, sliced

5carrots, sliced

14 oztomatoes, canned whole and drained

1/2 cdry red wine
-
2 cbeef stock
-
1/4 tspblack pepper

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 cflour
-
1/2 tspdried rosemary, crushed
How To Make saucy beef stew

1In a bag, toss beef with flour, salt and pepper.

2Arange beef on a baking sheet; bake in 500 oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

3Meanwhile in a large dutch oven, combine beef-stock, wine, tomatoes, carrots, onions mushrooms and rosemary, breaking up tomatoes with a fork.

4Bring to a boil.

5Add browned beef; bake in 300 oven for 2 hours or until beef is tender.
