My family has had it's chili recipes for many years. As they vary slightly from one kitchen to the next, I came up with a recipe that combines them all into one big pot of love!

Ingredients For san antonio chili con carne

2 lbground beef or diced stew meat; (try venison if you can)

1 cdiced onion

3 Tbspminced fresh garlic

1 candiced fire roasted tomatoes with liquid

1/4 cchili powder

1 Tbspground cumin
-
1 Tbsppaprika

1 tspsalt
-
1 tspblack pepper
-
1/2 tspcayenne pepper

1/4 tsporegano, dried

2 cchicken broth, unsalted

2 cbeef broth, reduced sodium
How To Make san antonio chili con carne

1Brown meat; add onions and garlic and saute lightly; stir in spices; add tomatoes and broth; bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 hours. * Adjust spices to desired heat level; serve with fresh chopped cilantro, onion, shredded cheese, sour cream, corn chips. You can also add a can of pinto or kidney beans if you like.
