Ingredients For salsbury steak

  • 1 can
    french onion soup (i used 2 cups of beef broth plus 1 pkg onion soup mix)
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef (i used 3/4 of ground beef n 3/4 of ground turkey)
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    blk pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard (or 1 teaspoon of regular mustard)
  • 1/2 c
    sliced mushrooms

How To Make salsbury steak

    MIX CHPD MEATS IN LARGE BOWL WITH EGG, S&P, BREADCRUMBS, 1/3 CUP OF ONION SOUP (OR BEEF BROTH MIXTURE) N SHAPE INTO 6 OVAL SHAPED PATTIES.

    LIGHTLY OIL LARGE PAN N BROWN PATTIES ON BOTH SIDES. ADD MUSHROOMS WHEN PATTIES R BROWNN ON OTHER SIDE N BROWN AS WELL.

    IN A SMALL BOWL MIX TOGETHER REMAINN ONION SOUP ALONG WITH FLOUR...UNTIL SMOOTH. MIX IN KETCHUP, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, MUSTARD N WATER. POUR OVER PATTIES COVER PAN N COOK ON LOW-MED FLAME FOR 20 MIN. STIRRING OCCASIONALLY. ENJOY :) I SERVED MINE ON MASHED POTATOES....MMMMMM!
