Ingredients For quick and easy pizza rolls.

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green peppers
  • 14 c
    chopped green onions
  • 1 can
    ( 8 oz ) tamato sauce
  • 1 can
    ( 6 oz ) tomato paste
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1
    garlic clove minced
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6
    italin sub rolls or french rolls
  • 3/4 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese

How To Make quick and easy pizza rolls.

    In a large skillet, cook the beef, green peppers, and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. and drain.

    Add the tomato sauce and tomato paste, water, garlic, sugar, Italian seasoning and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, or until heated through.

    Cut 1/2" off the top of each roll, set aside. Carefully hollow out the roll leaving 1/4" on the sides and bottom. Fill each roll with 1/2 cup of the meat mixture , sprinkle with cheese, and replace the tops.

    Place sandwiches on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.

    You can freeze remaning sandwiches by individually wraping them tightly in foil, and can be frozen up to 3 months. To use after freezing, thaw in the refrigerator over night. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Place foil wraped sandwiches on a baking sheet . Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
