Ingredients For pot roast with onion gravy

  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    organic seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp
    blace pepper
  • MIX TOGETHER THESE 5 INGREDIENTS AND RUB ROAST ON BOTH SIDE AND REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT
  • 3 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 lg
    chopped onion
  • 2
    stalks celery, sliced
  • 1
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3
    garlic clove chopped
  • 2 c
    water
  • 2 c
    mushrooms
  • 3 Tbsp
    ap flour
  • 2 c
    organic beef broth

How To Make pot roast with onion gravy

    Melt shortening in a deep, heavy pot over -med-high heat. Add roast and brown on all sides. remove the meat from the pan and add the onion, celery, bell pepper, and chopped garlic.

    Saute lightly and return ther roast to the pan. Add 1 cups water, cover and place in preheat oven 350F for 3 hours.

    once the roast is done , remove from pot and flour to dripping whip till thicken, and then add the roast,
