Yum...delicious saucy meatballs...make sure you have a nice crusty loaf of bread to sop up those juices... I usually double the sauce, as its so good!!! My photos

Ingredients For porcupine meatballs in tomato sauce

1/2 clong grain rice, uncooked

1/2 cwater

1/3 conion, chopped

1 clovegarlic, minced

1 tspsalt

1/2 tspcelery salt

1/2 tsppepper

1/2 tspgarlic powder

1 lbground beef
-
2 Tbspoil

1 lgcan tomato sauce ( 15 - 20 ounces )

1 cwater
-
2 - 2 1/2 Tbspbrown sugar

2 Tbspworcestershire sauce
How To Make porcupine meatballs in tomato sauce

1In a bowl, combine the rice, water, onion, garlic, seasonings and ground beef. Shape into 1-inch balls.

2In a large skillet, brown meatballs in oil; Drain.

3Combine last four ingredients and pour over meatballs.

4Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5Serve over rice, noodles, or with a side salad. I have used these to make toasted hoagies also...so yummy!............Enjoy!!!
