I got this recipe from my Aunt and when she made this Pot Roast, it would just melt in your mouth, that's how tender this roast was and very Delicious.....

Ingredients For perfect pot roast

1 tspseasoned salt

1/2 tsponion powder

1/4 tsppepper

1/8 tspgarlic powder

1beef chuck roast (3 to 4 pounds)

1 Tbspolive oil

3/4 cwater
-
1 lgonion chopped

1/4 cgreen pepper chopped

2garlic cloves minced
-
2bay leaves
-
2 tspdried parsley flakes

1/4 tspdried thyme
How To Make perfect pot roast

1Combine first four ingredients. Rub onto roast. In skillet, brown roast in olive oil. Place in a roasting pan. Add water, onion, green pepper and seasonings. Cover and bake at 325, for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until roast is tender.

2Remove and keep warm. Discard bay leaf. Skim fat from pan juices. Measure juices and return to pan. For each cup of juices, combine 1 tablespoon flour with 2 tablespoons water; mix well.

3Stir flour mixture into pan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Serve gravy with roast.
