Ingredients For peppers and green chile meatloaf

1 1/2 lblean ground beef

1/2 lbground pork
-
1 ccornbread stuffing

1onion, chopped

1garlic clove, minced

1/4 tspgarlic powder

4 ozgreen chiles, minced

1egg
-
16 oztomato sauce
-
1 pinchground nutmeg
-
1/2 tspworcestershire sauce

1green pepper
-
1 Tbspbrown sugar, firmly packed
How To Make peppers and green chile meatloaf

1Combine the ground meat, and pork in large bowl.

2Mix in the stuffing mix (which has been crushed slightly), onions, chiles, beaten egg, green pepper, garlic and garlic powder.

3Pour in half the tomato sauce and mix very well with your hands (wear plastic baggies on hands).

4Grease a cookie sheet with at least 2-inch sides.

5Press the meat mixture into a loaf dish

6Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

7Drain off any fat from dish (an easy way is to absorb the fat with paper towels).

8Pour the remaining tomato sauce, which has been blended with the nutmeg and worcestershire sauce, and Brown sugar over the top of the meatloaf.

9Continue baking for 5 minutes longer.

10Let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
