Ingredients For parmesan round steak

1.5 lbbeef round steak, cut 3/4 inch thick

1/4 tspsalt

6 smonions, peeled
-
1/4 cparmesan cheese, grated

1/4 tsporegano, dried
-
1/2 cwater
-
3 Tbspbacon drippings
-
5/8 tsppepper
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/2 cbread crumbs, dry

cmilk
-
1egg, beaten
-
1/4 tsppaprika
How To Make parmesan round steak

1Trim excess fat from steak; pound to 1/2 inch thickness.

2Cut steak into serving size pieces.

3Combine egg and milk; beat well.

4Combine breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.

5Dip steak in egg mixture, dredge in breadcrumb mixture and brown in bacon drippings.

6Place steak in a lightly greased 2 quart baking dish.

7Add water and sprinkle with oregano and cheese.

8Add onions to steak; sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt and paprika.

9Cover tightly and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender.
