Ingredients For pan seared steak with mushroom sauce

1 lbboneless beef sirloin steak

1 Tbspunsalted butter

2 cfresh mushrooms

1 Tbspall-purpose flour

1 ccanned beef broth
How To Make pan seared steak with mushroom sauce

1cut beef into serving pieces, slice mushrooms

2Season the steaks with salt and pepper.

3Cook the steaks in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 4 -5 minutes each side for medium rare.

4Remove the steaks from the skillet. Do not pour off any fat.

5Heat the butter in the skillet. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender

6Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually stir in the stock. Cook and stir until the mixture boils and thickens.

7Serve the mushroom sauce with the steaks.
