Ingredients For oven baked beef bourguignonne

  • 2 lb
    beef chuck, boneless, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1-1/3 c
    carrot, sliced
  • 1 can
    (14-1/2 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1
    envelope beefy onion or onion soup mix
  • 1/2 c
    red wine
  • 1 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pkg
    (8 ounces) noodles, cooked

How To Make oven baked beef bourguignonne

    In a 2 quart casserole, toss beef with flour, then bake uncovered 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Add carrots, tomatoes and bay leaf, then beefy onion soup mix blended with wine.

    Bake covered 1-1/2 hours or until beef is tender. Add mushrooms and bake covered 10 minutes more. Remove bay leaf.
