Ingredients For one-pan taco casserole

  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 can
    15 ounce hunts tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    15 ounce chili beans, undrained
  • 1 can
    3 ounce french fried onions
  • 1 c
    crushed corn chips
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 c
    shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • onions chopped (optional)
  • may substitute tomato soup for sauce, but add a small amount of tomato juice or 1/2 cup to 1 cup salsa

How To Make one-pan taco casserole

  • 1
    Brown beef. Drain. Add tomato sauce, chili beans and half of the french fried onions. mix well.

    Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add chopped onions if using half way through cooking time.

    Stir in remaining french fried onions and corn chips. Remove from heat. Sprinkle lettuce around edge of pan. Sprinkle cheese on top. Serve with sour cream.
