Ingredients For oklahoma buffalo chili

1 lbground buffalo or beef

1 mdonion, chopped

115 oz. can pinto beans, rinsed and drained

216 oz. cans peeled tomatoes

1/2 cwater
-
2 tspchili powder
-
1/2 tspground cumin
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspground pepper
-
1/4 cfresh cilantro, chopped
How To Make oklahoma buffalo chili

1In a non-stick skillet, saute the ground bison or beef and onion until the meat is browned and the onion is tender.(Can also simmer in a pot with 1 cup water-when cooked,drain water, then proceed).

2Add the pinto beans,tomatoes,water and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, adding more water if chili becomes too thick. Add chopped cilantro and grated cheese or diced jalapeno peppers. Serve.
