I GOT THIS RECIPE FROM THE NEELY'S ON FOODNET WORK AND I MADE THIS FOR A GATHERING OF FRIENDS AT MY HOME AND THEY LOVED IT, NOW THEY WANT TO COME OVER AGAIN JUST FOR THIS STEAK!!!!

3/4 clager-style beer

How To Make new york strip steak and molasses steak sauce

1FOR THE SAUCE: IN A MEDIUM SAUCEPAN OVER MEDIUM HEAT, MELT BUTTER. ADD ONION AND GARLIC AND SAUTE FOR 3 MINUTES, UNTIL SOFTENED.

2ADD THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS; BRING TO BOIL, THEN SIMMER UNTIL SAUCE IS REDUCED TO 2 CUPS, ABOUT 30 MINUTES.

3PREHEAT GRILL PAN. SEASON STEAK WITH SALT AND PEPPER AND RUB WITH OIL. GRILL STEAK 3 MINUTES PER SIDE FOR MEDIUM-RARE. LET REST 10 MINUTES AND THEN SERVE WITH SAUCE ON THE SIDE.
