Ingredients For montréal peppered steak

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons mccormick grill mates montréal steak seasoning
  • 2 pounds boneless beef sirloin or new york strip steaks
  • garlic mashed new potatoes:
  • 2 pounds small red potatoes
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon grill mates montréal steak seasoning
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. butter

How To Make montréal peppered steak

    Mix olive oil, soy sauce and steak seasoning in small bowl. Put steaks in large resalable plastic bag or glass dish. Add marinade; turn to coat well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or longer for extra flavor. Remove steaks from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade. Grill steaks over medium high heat for 6 to 8 minutes per side or til cooked to taste.

    to make the potatoes, cut in quarter and put in medium pan. Cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes or til potatoes are fork tender. Drain and return to pan on low heat. Sprinkle potatoes with Parmesan, steak seasoning and garlic powder. Mash potatoes, gradually adding milk, sour cream, and butter. Mix til potatoes are fluffy. Serve at once. Makes 8 servings
