My mother taught me how to make this version of Shepard's Pie. My children love it and it is a family favorite.

Ingredients For mom's shepard pie

  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 2 can
    large cans campells vegetable soup-condensed
  • 2 pkg
    instant mashed potatoes-
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning

How To Make mom's shepard pie

    Brown Ground Beef Drain off the fat Mix in the vegetable soup Pour into 13X9 baking dish
  • 2
    Make instant mashed potatoes as directed on the package. I like the sour cream and chive version Top the meat mixture with the mashed potatoes and the shredded cheese.

    Bake for 30 minutes at 375 until the cheese melts and soup is bubbling. You can add taco mix to the meat and use cheddar jack cheese if you want to give it a mexican flair.
