This is a recipe that my mother-in-law has been making for many years. It is one of my husband's favorite recipes.

Ingredients For mom's cheeseburger pie

19" pie crust

1 lblean ground beef

1/4 conion, chopped

1/4 cgreen bell pepper, chopped

1small can of tomato sauce

1/2 cdried bread crumbs, seasoned

1/2 tspseasoning salt

2 cshredded cheddar cheese
-
1/4 cmilk
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1/4 tspground black pepper
-
1/2 tspdry mustard
-
1/2 tspgarlic
How To Make mom's cheeseburger pie

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Lightly bake empty pie shell, set aside.

3Crumble ground beef into a large skillet. Saute over medium heat until brown and drain, then add onion, garlic and green pepper. Continue to saute until onion is clear. Mix in 1/2 c tomato sauce, bread crumbs, and seasoning salt. Spoon mixture into pastry shell.

4In a medium bowl, mix together cheese, milk, worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Spread mixture over meat filling.

5Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until topping is puffy and lightly browned. Allow to set for 10-15 minutes before serving.
