Ingredients For mixy burgers

1 Tbspshortening/butter
-
1/2 conion, finely chopped

1/4 cgreen pepper, finely chopped
-
1/4 ccelery, finely chopped

1 lbground beef
-
1/4 ccheddar cheese, shredded

8 ozcan tomato sauce
-
1 Tbspapple cider vinegar
-
1 Tbspbrown sugar
-
1 1/2 tspworcestershire sauce
-
1/8 tsppepper
-
1 tspgarlic salt
How To Make mixy burgers

1Melt shortening. Add onion, green pepper, & celery~cook until soft and lightly browned. Set aside and cover to keep warm or Add beef and brown all together. Add remaining ingredients~simmer 10 minutes, until thickened, stirring occasionally. Spoon onto warm buns or toasted bread. *recipe can easily be doubled~ingredients adjusted more or less to suit your taste...just like gr'ma did!*
