I adopted this recipe because it is a good recipe for any meal. It puts me in mind of chili pie with potato crust. By using sausage in place of the ground beef and sage or oregano in place of chili powder, this can become more of a breakfast or brunch meal.
Ingredients For mexican hash

1 lbground beef

1chopped onion

8 ozcan tomato sauce

3 Tbspchili powder
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1 Tbspbrown sugar

16 ozpackage hash browns

3tomatoes
-
1 1/2 cshredded cheese
How To Make mexican hash

1Brown ground beef and onion until onion is tender.

2Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, worcestershire sauce and brown sugar, simmer until thick.

3Meanwhile, cook hash browns.

4Place in pie pan or 9x9x2 pan.

5Top with meat mixture, then slice tomatoes and top with cheese.

6Broil long enough to melt cheese.
