A friend gave me this recipe. Haven't tried it but she's a great cook so I'm sure this is a good recipe.

Ingredients For mexi taco pie

1 lbground beef

1 pkgtaco seasoning mix

1 cpicante sauce (8 oz)

1 lgegg

19 in. frozen pie crust

1/2 cmonterey jack cheese, shredded

1 canchopped green chilis

1 cmonterey jack cheese, shredded

1/3 ctortilla chips, broken

garnish: shredded lettuce, sour cream, picante sauce, onions, tomatoes
How To Make mexi taco pie

1Brown ground chuck and drain fat. Put back in pan and stir in 1 envelope taco seasoning mix and 1 cup picante sauce.

2Remove from heat and stir in lightly beaten egg.

3In this order, layer 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, 1 can chopped green chilis, cooked ground beef mixture, 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, and 1/3 cup tortilla chips.

4Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes (place casserole on a cookie sheet for baking).

5Garnish with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, picante sauce, onion, olives -- go crazy! You choose!
