This is what happened when I came home from NC, not knowing what hubby had eaten in my absence, and wanting tacos. I got everything but taco seasoning! Rather than going back to the store, I tossed in the well drained ROTEL, and oh was it good. Might just make it this way all the time! He ate his as tacos, I ate mine as a taco salad, and just can't wait to try it in Taco Pie (yes, recipe in JAP).

Ingredients For megan's taco meat

  • 2 1/2 lb
    hamburger
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning
  • 1 sm
    tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    rotel, well drained (i used original)

How To Make megan's taco meat

  • 1
    Fry beef. Drain well. Rinse with water to get fat out of it, and wipe pan before returning meat to pan.

    Sprinkle with taco seasoning, mix. Pour in tomato sauce, mix. Drain rotel WELL, mix in. Let simmer for a little bit. Serve in tacos, use for taco pie, make taco salad...
