Old fashioned comfort food. Its filling and good. You can use leftover mashed potatoes if you have them.

Ingredients For meatloaf and potato pie

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 slice
    whole wheat bread torn into small bits
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/3 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    mashed potatoes (can use a little more if you like)
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make meatloaf and potato pie

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix beef, bread, milk, egg, onion, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Spread in ungreased 9 inch pie pan. Bake until done (35 to 40 minutes). Top with mashed potatoes, spreading to edges. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake additional 3 to 4 minutes to melt cheese.

    You may need to thin potatoes with mik to be able to spread them well, especially if you use leftover potatoes.
